In October, Microsoft will be releasing it’s second wave (2nd of 2021) of updates to Dynamics 365 Business Central. Over the next few weeks our team will be highlighting some of the more impactful enhancements.
Generally, functionality will be enhanced in the ever popular, Excel integration, along with many of the other Microsoft Office add-ins, including Teams and Outlook. It is exciting to see the continual integration within the Microsoft Stack.
The development tools continue to be enhanced. The AL language is evolving to provide a better experience for developers, with additional documentation, a snapshot debugger, and richer access control for extension source in cloud environments.
The application improvements were driven from customer requests. They include additional columns in views, improvements to the bank and payment reconciliations. Documentation and learning videos has also been enhanced. There are also many enhancements to inventory and warehouse functionality, including rounding for unit of measure.
